The Nimble Device

I bought the Nimble for its convenience. It paints way better than I can myself and I don’t have to leave the house to get a manicure. Since I got it, I’ve had color on my nails way more of than before and it’s fun.

I’m the kind of person who likes having a different nail color every week, sometimes every few days, and I love that my Nimble does all the work so I can watch TV or read while it’s painting my nails! I usually use the express manicure since that takes less than half an hour, and I’ll touch up every few days with the top coat myself just to extend it a bit.

Before Nimble, I never had time to go to the salon and never wanted to take the time (or hassle) to paint my nails myself. With my Nimble, I can get beautiful nails with minimal fuss and without leaving home. Thanks to Nimble’s AI capabilities and the dedication of the Nimble team, the Nimble experience just keeps getting better and better.

As a Kickstarter backer, I have been with Nimble from the early days. I have watched the Nimble team grow, learn, and adjust their product to suit the customer’s needs. It isn’t perfect, so please don’t misunderstand my 5 star rating. It is still a work in progress in my opinion, but the Nimble team are not done perfecting this product. Plus their customer service is top notch.

It takes time for you to familiarize yourself with the machine, so chances are that your initial “practice manicure” will not be ideal. That’s why it’s called a practice manicure and they give you a bottle of polish for free to complete this initial manicure. You and the machine have to learn to work with each other.

If you have patience, love fiddling with new innovative technology, and are okay with doing a little bit of cleanup post manicure, I think this machine could be for you.

If you want a quick, perfect manicure without the need to do any work yourself, the Nimble might not be a good fit for you at this point in time. Although I will say that I am hopeful for the future. This device has an AI that continues to learn and improve so it should only get better as more people use it.

I’m glad I invested in the Nimble kickstarter campaign. I love painting my nails and hate going to the salon so this device is right up my alley and I have not been disappointed in the machine. My only issue thus far has actually been the quality of the nail polish. It doesn’t seem to last longer than about 2-3 days without chipping. Nimble says they are working to improve the formulation, so I hope that becomes a non-issue soon.

I hate doing my own fingernails because I feel like they get messed up immediately. I also hate going to the salon and getting gel or powder dip because it inevitably destroys my nails. I saw this device on Kickstarter years ago (I can't remember when the campaign was, it was during the blur that was Covid), and was like "this thing is awesome!", so I backed it. After receiving it, I've done a few manicures so far and it has already improved (my own use of the device and the technology of the Nimble itself). It takes practice to place your hands/fingers correctly and stay very still, and you have to be patient with the process, but I'm happy with the results because I can just sit there while it does the painting. I'm excited to see how the technology and features continue to improve over time, and how the nail polish products/options evolve to meet our needs!
